Yes,
I suffer from insomnia, along with thousands of others,
I'm sure. And I know that people around me have good
intentions when they come up with all these ideas of
what to do, what will cure it, all that stuff - I appreciate
it, really I do, But I have to say, it gets a bit wearing
- l know it's the first time they've given me this advice,
but it's not the first time I've heard it - it's not
even in the first thousand now, I think.
So, in the interests of future communications,
I'd just like to say that yes, I've tried:
- Sleeping pills
- stopping drinking caffeine
- milky drinks at bedtime
- herbal rememdies for sleeping
- exercise
- hypnotism
- early nights
- having a fixed bedtime
- reading til I'm tired
None of it works - I've tried all the
normal methods, as well as some distinctly abnormal
ones - none of them have been any more successful than
I am at juggling flaming axes with one arm tied behind
my back.
