OK, I know, I know, I’m a techie beyond all reasonable expectations of the word. But I see things like this digital camera and I just go “oooooooohhhh”. I want one. But then I’d need a laptop with Bluetooth to go with it.

And I’ve just laughed myself comatose at this story ( © BBC as per ) – flatpack furniture made fool proof. I bet my father could still naff it up though. A man who thinks something is level because the bubble in the spirit level is at the same end all the way round….

Out of interest, why is it that Angela Lansbury (and whoever the character was she played in Murder She Wrote) never got suspected of murder herself? How come that never happens? It would make so much fun for the detective to be accused every so often. In Murder She Wrote, wherever the cute doddery old pensioner goes, Murder soon follows. But no-one ever accuses her. WHY? She’s the only common factor in all the killings, for christ’s sake. And the way the killer is revealed is always one step short of a set-up. Why isn’t it that she’s just framing other people all the time?
It’s the same in the UK with Midsomer Murders – actually John Nettles was in both that and Bergerac, so he’s doubly accused – there’s more killings and death in that one little part of the world than in all the major cities put together. And no-one suspects anything. It’s weird, I tell you, weird.
