In all the other matches that have been played, waterbottles and kit have been kicked all over the place and no-one says anything. Ppl in this country would rather laugh at their own than back them. Like you said Lyle, in terms of football, ur not an expert, but I've watched it all my life and played it for most of it, until I got injured and couldn't play anymore, kinda understand his frustration! As for the drop in effort by the team, they got complacent - but to say that he was one of the few players to put heart and soul in is (to my uneducated eye) utter bollocks. The one who scored the first goal was more impressive, and more consistently in there, as was whats-his-face who ended up with a yellow card. But you've missed the point by a country mile as Andy above points out. He was justifiably furious with the drop in effort by the team and at the fact that he's not as fit as he thinks he is yet.
