Interviewage
Well, all seemed to go pretty well with the interview stuff today, too.
At least, that’s the feedback I’ve already had from the agency, anyway.
So fingers crossed, change may be afoot. Time will tell, anyway.
Why is it that when you know you’ve got a really long day and/or late night the next day, you end up having a really shitty night, and are thus even more knackered?
Yes, it’s what happened to me last night – tonight I’m seeing AC/DC at Wembley Stadium, which means I’m going to be travelling down to London today, seeing the gig, and then driving back – I reckon we’ll be home for about 2am, give or take.
Which of course meant that last night Hound was a total pain, it was horridly warm, and I think I slept properly for about three hours at best.
Should make today a long day – fun, but a long day…

Will someone please tell me that the new company name in this story is a joke? That the story was perhaps meant to be released on April 1st?
I find it hard to believe that anyone would seriously come up with the business name Nigaz for a Nigerian Gas/Oil company…
So, tomorrow I’ve got an interview in Cambridge for a new job.
It’s one that looks pretty interesting – well, the company looks interesting, I’ve no idea whether the job will be or not, as I haven’t actually seen a job description yet. The company is (apparently, according to the agency) on a “talent hunt”, and my name and CV have come up.
So it’s one of those things where I don’t really know what to expect at all, but it should be fun all the same. I guess it helps that I’ve already worked for one of their local competitors, though…
Tonight, I get to hand in my final printed portfolio for my NCFE Photography course. And that’ll be it, I’ll be done except for finding out how I did.
In a way I’m glad it’ll be over – I’ve had to get out more to take photographs for the course, but at the same time my time has been horrendously crunched and I’ve had significant levels more added pressure while doing it, which I could’ve done without.
As it is, I’m just pretty pleased that I’ve completed the course – I’ve doubted I would several times, where there just didn’t seem like enough time to get things done, and particularly when I got let down on not one but two project/portfolio ideas before finally settling on the one I’ve done.
As for next academic year, I don’t know if I’m going to do any courses or not yet. We’ll see.
I notice in the hustings for the new Speaker for the House of Commons, Ann Widdecombe said
the next Speaker had to be “known” to voters, and had to be someone ‘trusted’ by the public
So – not a politician, then?
So bloody hell, after yesterday’s Summer Solstice, the days are getting shorter again.
I must be getting old, this year seems to be racing past again.
