Come the Resolution, these will be first against the wall...
As regular readers will probably be aware, I've never been overly convinced by the entire New Year stuff, and I remain particularly unconvinced about Resolutions. Maybe it's just me that experiences this, but I find that no sooner have I made a bunch of resolutions for the new year than kersplam, something gets in the way of them. Normally either reality, or a lack of it.
Also, I've pretty much given up on "this is what I'd like to have done by the end of the year" with a defined set of things - again, there's always something that doesn't happen, and/or things that happen that were unexpected.
So this year I'm looking at doing it all in my normal idiosyncratic style. I'm going to still do a list of things I'd like - all things considered - to have done by the end of 2004. But I'm not going to hold myself to it - I'm just going to see how things go. As they're achieved (or not) I'll add notations, or just cross the buggers out. I'll also add new ideas as and when they occur, and quite probably end up with a "random shit that's been achieved" list as well, just so I don't look like a complete dork when '05 rears its ugly head. Seems like a plan.
Let's see if I can do these...
- New Tattoo
- Pass the fucking Driving Test
- Redo D4D in Movable Type
- Lose weight
- Spend the Festering Season™ away from the UK
I've done these
- Chuff All so far
