Addiction

Hello, my name’s Lyle, and I’m an addict.

Only, well, it’s not your normal drugs, alcohol, gambling, or whatever. It’s new potatoes.

Normally I can resist the temptation. If they’re not in the house, I’m fine. But if we have any (and they’ve been cooked, obviously – raw spud = Bleurgh) then I’ll eat them. I don’t care if they’re freshly done, or if they’ve been left to cool, or if they’ve been cooked and then left in the fridge overnight- not that that happens often.

Once they’ve been cooked, ‘saving them for later’ means ‘some time this evening’. Herself thinks it means ‘left for use with tomorrow’s dinner’. Wrong.

I don’t think there’s any hope for me on this one…

Especially mixed with raw onions and Mayo ! Yum.

Well yeah, that too. But really, it’s the spuds themselves. I can just eat them. And eat them. And eat them.

    It’s a bad, bad thing… 🙂
