Firefox Weirdness
Posted: Wed 23 November, 2005 Filed under: Geeky, Weirdness 2 Comments »I’ve no idea why, but this morning when I started up Firefox it wasn’t displaying images at all. Checking the installed “Web Developer” toolbar (a god-send in so many ways) showed that I didn’t have images disabled there, so it needed a bit more delving.
Under Options in 1.5rc2 there’s now a tab called “Content” – and in there you can choose globally whether to load images or not. Somehow that was now unticked.
So – a simple fix, but why did it happen in the firstplace? I rarely even bother to go into the Options, so something odd’s going on…
I had the same thing happen to me. I use the “Web Developer” toolbar too. I guess the way it plays with the display of content is by tinkering with the options…
Firefox completely crashed on my t’other day. Utterly refused to work in any sense; no amount of uninstaling and reinstalling changed the situation. The only way I fixed things was totally reinstalling Windows, the drastic approach to restore my beloved Firefox. I’m avoiding Beta versions for a bit.
