OK, now here’s a question, brought on by far too much people-watching out of the office windows. And cue Victor Meldrew-esque bleating tone if it makes you any happier – on this one, I’m sure that I’m just an uncomprehending old fart who’s not “up to date”. Now, consider, do I look like someone who could care less?

Anyway. What is it at the moment with people (mainly young lads, god help us all) wearing jeans that are apparently supposed to only cover half the arse, leaving square acres of (sometimes manky/crusty) boxer-short hanging over the top of the waistband?

It can’t be comfortable, and in fact most of the people wearing this *cough* “style” seem to be permanently on the verge of losing their trousers altogether, which kind of negates the concept of it being some kind of functional thing. It does go a long way towards illustrating, though, that young lads are a) slightly bizarre, and b) apparently have no arse whatsoever.

But what’s the point of it?

Yes, again, I’m writing about Anti-Spam stuff on this site. It gets tedious, I know. But then, so does Spam.

Anyway, I’ve just installed a couple of other items, so if you do have any problems commenting (although if it’s marked as “spam” I’ll soon resurrect it anyway, don’t worry) then send me a mail and let me know. With luck the entire process will be invisible, and shouldn’t cause any problems (although I know that Spam Karma’s been chucking out some valid comments in the last couple of days) but well, it wouldn’t be the first time I’d been wrong on things like this.

Last night it pestered me through dreams, and has pursued me into consciousness.

Well, due to a fuck-up of unknown origin on the company site, we’ve just had to send my updated (and slightly experimental “testing” design) site up to live instead. So yes, my stuff is now the full representation of the company. After a week in the job.

Workload and Expectations

Ooops. I really need to get my finger out a bit. Currently work-wise I’ve got the normal “standard” employment websites to work on, which is all well and good. However, at the same time I really need to sort out and prioritise a bit, as there’s four other websites I need to do (or in a couple of cases at least start work on) fairly soon. In short, I need to get my shit together.

Luckily, I’m not too bad at this. Well, that’s not true – in some cases I’m bloody awful at this kind of self-motivational stuff. And at the moment I’m having one of those times where it’s all just not coming together. I know I need to, but no, right now it’s just not quite clicking together, and I don’t know why.

I know I’ll get it all sorted out – I always do. But today, right now, I’m just beginning to think “Oooh, chuff, I need to get that stuff sorted”.

I’ve just had a spammish email (I forgot to click the “forget I exist, and never email me again, you fuckers” button once when I ordered from them) from Interflora today, telling me that Wednesday July 6th is “National Kissing Day”.

What a load of old bollocks. It’s just another “Day” created by Interflora/ Clintons/ Hallmark in order to sell more shit to gullible punters. Not that I’m cunical cynical or owt, but really, National Kissing Day? Do me a favour, pull the other one, it’s got bells on.
