Literate

Sometimes, my job causes both depression and amusement at the same time. Today has had one of those moments.

I’ve just been dealing with a set of webpages dealing with teaching Adult Literacy.

The folder they were in was titled “Adult Litracy”

*sigh*

Waiting

Today I’m working from home, waiting for a couple of deliveries. Both are furniture-size, although small-furniture, so it should be OK.

Of course, they’ve given no indication whatsoever of what time they’ll arrive. It could be anytime between 9am and 6pm.

Oh yes, and even though it’s all coming from the same place, for some godforsaken reason it’s going to be two deliveries, unless common sense has broken out at the despatch department. And let’s be honest, what’re the odds of that? (Low to sod-all, in my humble opinion)

Still, it does mean I get to be at home doing some work, instead of sat in the office.

VAT

I figure that the moral of this story from the BBC is :

If you’re going to do it, do it properly

£54million. Now that’s what I call fraud…
